Revit Based HydraCAD (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Couplings Function: Add Couplings

Description:

No Error, the couplings simply display way too big!   They show as huge couplings in coarse detail and medium detail.

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

The coupling was modeled in such a way that the annotation scale property is important.

Solution:

In the couplings properties, under graphics, if the 'Use Annotation Scale' property is unchecked, check it. If it is checked, uncheck it. That will fix that one specific coupling, if this needs to be applied to more than one coupling, right click the fitting and mouse over Select All Instances, and from the side menu, choose Visible in View

2.
Cause:

Exact cause is still unknown but is related to a flaw in the Revit installation.

Solution:

Hi Al,

Yes, this is the same problem I had. I did do a full re-install and that fixed it for me. I don't recall what caused it, but a clean re-install did address it and get me back working as intended. I'd recommend that to anyone, since at least compared to re-installing Autocad and HydraCad reinstalling Revit is a much simpler process.

Thanks,
Tyler

Additional comments:  It is actually Revit that needs to be re-installed.  When you do that, the HydraCAD ribbons will disappear but the Hydratec for Revit software will still already be installed.  To get the ribbons back just use the HydratecRevitAddinAssistant.exe  found in C:\HES\Hydratec for Revit\Programs\ folder.

Video how to do that.
