AutoCAD Based Sprinklers (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Insert Sprinkler Error Type: Bad Argument

Description:

When trying to redefine and insert a sprinkler head, you get this message in the command prompt;

Command:
H_SETSPR
Pick head insertion point. Pick any point besides endpoint to break into pipe (try NEArest osnap or TRACKING)
Command:
H_SETSPR
Error: bad argument value: non-negative: -1

Solutions:

Cause:

The Piping Connection or Sprinkler Specifics values are set to "Other" instead of a real value.  This can be seen when viewing the sprinkler's definition blue box in the ACC1 layer.

For the sprinkler UPRIGHT on the left, the sprig & pipe connection values are set to ½.   This is correct for Imperial.  For sprinkler PEND2, the values are set to 15.  These are correct for Metric but will create an error if used in Imperial.

Solution:

Verify the values you're entering for the sprinkler head are legitimate.
