1. Click START Button and right click on COMPUTER and select PROPERTIES
2. On the left side of the dialog box, under TASKS, select ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS (you will probably have to approve permission)
3. Click the SETTINGS button located under the PERFORMANCE heading (located in the Advanced Tab)
4. Under the VISUAL EFFECTS tab, select CUSTOM and then UNCHECK "Enable Desktop Composition" and select APPLY That should do it. If it doesn't fix the problem, or if you notice other problems, you can always go back the the Visual Effects Tab and select "Let Windows choose what's best for my computer" to set it back to the default.
