Revit Based HydraCAD (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Configure Head Function: Connect Head

Description:

No Error given but Pipes look like theyy are missing after program completion.

Solutions:

Cause:

The Automatic piping created by these two functions ( Spacing & Layout  and Connect Heads) is meant to assign a system type to each pipe created by the routine.  However, occasionall and unpredictably the sytem type is left as 'unassigned' for some pipes.  If the view properties have a filter set to hide all pipes other than fire protection pipes (ie non fire pipe) then those 'unassigned' pipes will be hidden.  That filter is intentionally set to keep plumbing and other mechanical pipes from cluttering a working view so assigning those pipes as Fire Protection is the preferable solution.

Solution:

Stop!  Don't panic!   Simply make a change to one of the visible pipes and the connected run of pipe will all be re-assigned to that system type.  ie Delete Pipe at one of the ends of that line would qualify as making a change and should make the hidden pipes show up.  Also JUST CHANGE THE LENGTH of one of the end pipes will do the trick.  In the worst case scenario you can remove the filter from this view to verify that you have properly identified this problem.  Thhis problem has been reported to the Hydratec Genius team and will likely be fixed in any verision of Hydratec for Revit beyond version 24.1.008.
