Description:

When printing final, you get this error message

"Error during Cover Sheet print, possibly due to missing .DAT file"

Solutions:

Cause:

Possibly missing the .DAT file for the .BMP logo file you're trying to use.
Solution:

In your folder; C:\HES\HydraCALC\VER50\Data\Setup\Reports, make sure that for every logo, you have a matching file .BMP & .DAT file.

For instance, if your company logo is called 'MYLOGO.BMP', you should have a file 'MYLOGO.DAT' in the same folder.  Copy and rename the file NOLOGO.DAT and rename the file while leaving the extension alone.

Cause:

The image you're using is too 'complex'
Solution:

The .BMP file had a transparent layer which likely causes the error

1. Open MS Paint (these steps work for Windows 11 MS Paint).

2. If you notice a transparency, add a new layer, make sure the canvas is square and fill it in with white.

3. Push the background layer to the back so your logo is visible.

4. Do a 'save as' and make sure to save as a flattened image.

You should be all set.
