AutoCAD Based 3D Modeling (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Persistent Model

Description:

When viewing your Persistent Model drawing, you see the clamshells/Pacman/bracket for the riser nipples/vertial pipes

Solutions:

Cause:

You will only see it while in 3D TOP view.  When viewed from any non-TOP view, you *may* not see the Pacman

Solution:

If you select the VP then select PROPERTIES, you'll notice the RN Related|VerticalPipe_Status value is set to RN, UP, or DN

When you change it to NORMAL, Pacman goes away.

The quickest method to change many at once is to;

1. Select one VP.  Right-click and select SELECT SIMILAR from the pop up menu.  If you selected a branchline VP, only other branchline VPs will be selected, not main, underground, or armover ones, so you'll have to repeat the steps for each pipe type

2. Go to the PROPERTIES window and change the value to NORMAL

Save your PM drawing and send for coordination.These will reset to their original values each time you create a new PM drawing, so I wouldn't recommend fixing them every time you make a new PM drawing.
